A new Cloud Kitchen Consulting venture – NAME SETGO KITCHENS AND CONSULTING has raised a whopping amount of $2M USD pre money. The New Delhi based firm offers various services to enable a fast and efficient turnaround of Cloud Kitchens. The company offers various services, key among them being Plug & Play Cloud Kitches and Kitchen as a Service (KaaS).

By the end of 2023 and 2024, the cloud kitchens market in India is projected to grow to USD 1 Bn from USD 400 mn in 2019 and reach USD 2 Bn by 2024, according to the India Brand Equity Foundation. Cloud kitchens offer no upfront investments, low operational costs including skilled manpower for food and beverage operators such as Quick Service Restaurants and start-ups in the industry. There are an estimated 3,500 cloud kitchens in India currently of various sizes which cater to a growing number of operators.
The advent of food hailing apps such as Swiggy, Zomato, etc. coupled with the short-term opportunities during the pandemic led lockdown created a whole lot of cloud kitchens across the country. While many of them have perished due to financial viability issues, a few of them have scaled despite odds.
Rebel Foods, which runs brands such as Faasos, Sweet Truth, Oven Story, Behrouz Biriyani, etc, was started in 2011. Fettucine, Biriyani by Kilo, Hoi Foods are among the popular ones currently.
